Alex needed to get one last immunization before Kindergarten and since we are shopping for a new pediatrician, I made an appointment with a new doctor. Today was the day. Alex was nervous all afternoon. He wouldn' t talk much at our lunch date with Steener: usually Steener gets him a-jabbering. About a half hour before leaving, he called to me from the next room. He asks, "Mom, if the lady in the garden listened to God, would I have to go to the doctor?" Any suggestions P-Dawg? I said that we didn't believe doctors were in God's original plan. He said, "So, if she listened, there wouldn't be any germs or sickness?" I said, "Probably not." He said, "Don't you wish she would have listened to God?" Theology from a 5 year old. Questions I ask all the time, too.

Alex asks some pretty deep questions. Smart boy. On the other hand, I had to read 3 times before I figured out who the lady in the garden was.
The haunted castle is ready and waiting for you! We had a blast. OleKobe: Believe me, when he asked the question I was thinking "Who the hell is the lady?" I don't know how it came to me. The funny thing is we only have talked about Adam and Eve a few times. He's actually afraid of the story in the children's bible and we never got past the first time the snake is mentioned. But, there's a large, beautiful painting in the book that captures the moment. That made enough of an impression I guess.
The Lady in the Graden...that is precious.
I love that kid.
He's the bestest kid in the world!
Lady in the Garden?

They're amazing, though (children are). It is so wonderful having the opportunity to see the world through my own guy's eyes.
